User Environment Debug Logging (Windows 2000/XP) Category: Home > Windows > Troubleshooting > Logging
This setting enables debug logging of user profile and system policy processes which may be helpful in troubleshooting problems. Open your registry and find the key below. Create a new DWORD value, or modify the existing value called 'UserEnvDebugLevel' using the settings below. Exit your registry, you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.
Note: The log file is written to the %SystemRoot%\Debug\UserMode\Userenv.log file.
